The Ogdensburg City School District Board of Education is pleased to announce the selection of Christina B. Frank as the district’s next Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment. The official appointment will take place at the Board’s organizational meeting on July 1, 2025.
Mrs. Frank brings over two decades of experience in education, leadership, and curriculum development. She currently serves as the Principal of Grades UPK–2 at John F. Kennedy Elementary School, a position she has held with dedication and passion. Under her leadership, JFK Elementary has made notable strides in early literacy, student engagement, and instructional alignment, particularly in the critical foundational years of learning.
Mrs. Frank began her teaching career at Indian River Central School in 2003, but her history with the Ogdensburg City School District runs deep. Before moving into administration, she was a highly regarded foreign language teacher for grades 7-12 at Ogdensburg Free Academy from 2005 to 2019, where she was known for her creativity in the classroom, her ability to connect with students, and her commitment to academic excellence.
Mrs. Frank holds a bachelor’s degree (2003), a master’s in educational administration (2005), and a Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Administration (2014) all from St. Lawrence University. Her academic background, paired with her extensive classroom and administrative experience, position her well to take on this critical district leadership role.
“We are thrilled to welcome Mrs. Frank into this new position,” said Board of Education President Ronald N. Johnson. “Her knowledge of curriculum, her leadership in early education, and her long-standing commitment to Ogdensburg students will be instrumental as we continue to strengthen student outcomes across all grade levels.”
“I am incredibly honored to be chosen for this position and grateful for the continued trust the board has placed in me,” Mrs. Frank said. “Ogdensburg has always been home, and I am deeply committed to the success of every student in our district. I look forward to working closely with our talented teachers, staff, and administrators to ensure that all students have access to a high-quality, engaging, academic program.”
“Christina is a proven leader who brings a thoughtful and student-centered approach to every aspect of her work,” said Superintendent of Schools Mr. Kevin Kendall. “Her experience across multiple grade levels and her commitment to continuous improvement will serve our district well as we look to the future.”
Mrs. Frank will succeed Ms. Brooke Reid, who will begin her tenure as Superintendent of Schools for the Norwood-Norfolk Central School District on July 1st.
