On Wednesday, May 14, sixth-grade students from JFK Elementary School participated in the Women in Engineering event hosted by SUNY Canton.

The event introduced students to a variety of hands-on STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) activities, including flying drones, soldering to create holiday ornaments, learning about ethical hacking and coding, building solar-powered cars, testing bottle rockets, and making soap.

Students also had the opportunity to explore STEM-related careers and connect with SUNY Canton professors who shared insights about their fields and college-level programs.
