In order to bring attention to the historic solar eclipse that will happen on April 8th, the OFA Science, Art and Tech departments decided to hold an Eclipse Trading Card contest open to Art Club students in grades 4-12.
Beck Lowry, a 4th grader from JFK, beat out several other students at both the elementary and high school levels! The three art teachers decided his design had it all, including the Blue Devil! So well-done, especially considering his age!
Beck's design will be printed on cards by the BOCES printshop for distribution to all OSCD students and staff as a keepsake for the Solar Eclipse and as instructions for how to view the eclipse safely.
