The Ogdensburg City School District is pleased to offer a 2023 Elementary Summer School and Readiness Program for our elementary school students. The program offers the following sections:

Pre-Kindergarten– Students must have attended a pre-school program 2022-2023 school year.

Post-Kindergarten to 6th Grade– This will include 45 minutes of reading, 45 minutes of mathematics, 30 minutes of library twice a week, and 30 minutes of enrichment activities.

Note: Each of the sections is staffed with a teacher and a teaching assistant.

The Ogdensburg City School District’s Elementary Summer School and Readiness Program will work on overall readiness, as well as pre-reading and writing skills. Additionally, there will be a great deal of structured play to build social skills and encourage appropriate behavior toward others. The program aims to employ several theme-based projects and hands-on activities to make learning fun and exciting for our students.

The program is offered at no charge to resident students. Parents are asked to please complete this registration form and return them to your child’s teacher.

By enrolling your child in the 2023 Elementary Summer School and Readiness Program, we can work together to promote and develop our students as:
• Complex Thinkers
• Productive Workers
• Effective Communicators

You may also register your student on Wednesday, July 5, between 8:30 and 9:00 a.m. in the Main Offices at John F. Kennedy and Grant C. Madill Elementary Schools.
