The Ogdensburg City School District will hold kindergarten screenings this spring for children who will be eligible to enter kindergarten for the 2026–27 school year.

Children who will be 5 years old on or before Dec. 1, 2026, must be screened prior to entering kindergarten. Screenings will take place at John F. Kennedy Elementary School on the following dates:

  • Monday, May 11, 2026
  • Tuesday, May 12, 2026

Families are asked to schedule an appointment in advance by calling 315-393-4264, extension 32915.

Parents and guardians must bring the following items to the screening appointment:

  • The child’s birth certificate
  • A current immunization record
  • Custody papers, if applicable
  • Proof of residency, such as a school tax bill, lease agreement or utility bill

Students who are currently enrolled in the district’s Universal Pre-K (UPK) program do not need to be screened on the scheduled dates.
