Ogdensburg Free Academy senior Meriam Skamperle has been selected by the Ogdensburg International Seaway Festival Queen Pageant judges as the first recipient of the Miss Spirit Award. The award honors Wayne Ashley, a dedicated public servant and former Ogdensburg city councilor and mayor.
To continue Mr. Ashley’s legacy of service, the Ashley family will donate $100 to a charity of Meriam’s choice. She has selected the OFA school pantry as the beneficiary.
