Mrs. Pamela Luckie
"One Community; One Vision: Excellence" in all areas including instruction, support, maintaining our buildings, managing offices, and meal preparation. We are proud of our classrooms, offices, cafeterias, stage, and every playing field. We have a dedicated faculty and staff, with a common goal: to do what is best for our students.
We are pleased to have you as partners at OFA as we provide a continuum of educational practices that support and enhance middle level student learning. Our faculty members motivate students with rigorous and relevant learning activities focusing on the areas of synthesis, analysis, and evaluation when planning and preparing lessons. Together we receive "inside out practice" beginning with sharing data to make predictions, collaborating on final results and preparing for the "next level of work".
Student involvement in various academic as well as extracurricular activities is encouraged and promoted. We assure you that we will do our best to help your child experience academic, social and emotional growth.
We are once again participating in a nationwide program called the WEB (Where Everybody Belongs). Eighth grade students who are good role models and positive leaders are assigned as mentors to help grade 7 students achieve success during their transition from elementary school.
In addition, the District PBIS program has become a pathway and a student support service in encouraging positive behavior. Early and appropriate interventions are available to assist all students; never forgetting the human element found in educational practice.
As we begin the 2017-2018 school year we encourage you to contact the school anytime you need assistance at 393-0900 ext. 31925. We value home/school communication; together we have developed a truly unique culture and climate that highlights a creative, confident, and caring school community.
Welcome to Ogdensburg Free Academy!
