Dear Families, Friends, and Visitors,
Welcome to our website! Madill School has 325 students in grades UPK-sixth grade. The staff at Madill is very enthusiastic and dedicated to meeting the individual needs of our students. Our school is a warm and safe environment, where teachers recognize each child as a unique individual, deserving of a rigorous and meaningful learning experience.
Our students use computers beginning in kindergarten, in our well equipped computer lab. Laptops are also available for classroom use for powerpoint presentations, word processing, math activities, and internet research. In addition to the core academic subjects in the classroom, our students also attend classes in art, music, physical education, and library/technology.
One of our most important goals at Madill is to teach our students to take ownership and accountability for their own behavior. This is facilitated through our new district initiative, The Positivity Project. Through The Positivity Project, students build strong relationships by recognizing the character strengths in themselves and others. It is the Project's belief that by internalizing the belief that, "Other People Matter", students will become citizens and leaders who will enhance our community and country.
At Madill, the parents, teachers, and support staff are all part of a unified family working hard to ensure the safety and well being of all students, while providing them with a challenging and rewarding educational experience. Parents are the first teachers, and as such, play an integral role as a part of this family in the education of our students.
We encourage and welcome visitors to our school.
We invite you to come and see why, "The student is the center of everything we do!"
